The mood board for this shoot is inspired by the shows that I am basing the entire shoot on from previous shows which I have been inspired by. I wanted the feel of pure luxury fashion to come out from the mood board featuring gold chains and the blue ribbons which will be featured in the hair style.
This Mood board was created with the thoughts behind how I wanted the shoot to feel. I was inspired by previous shows but I also wanted there to be clear references of the lifestyle that exists with such expensive clothing. I was thinking of the television series Gossip Girl when I designed the collage. Lavish lifestyles where money isn't a option and the queens of New York are like beautiful lionesses.
Face Chart Designs
The designs I have created for this particular shoot were all inspired by the catwalk shows that I had previously researched from Ready to wear shows.
The top face chart was a little bit of fun to create I was focusing on blues originally for my design but then I thought of the inclusion of creating spring colouring into my design. With the same wants and features of heavy eyes and heavy blush detailing on the cheeks this time I used a green to represent the new growth of spring. The products that I was looking at for the eyes were from the La Roc palettes as there is a lot of colour choice with the palettes (summer tone) The cheeks are also illamasqua cream brush that would look great against the hue of the eye shading.
The second design I felt was on more of a right track which what I had previously designed into my mind of what I wanted to achieve with the catwalk look. Heavy blue eyes that worked really great with the Chanel look. My model is blonde and I think the colouring would look great on her. The cheek bones this time are a heavier bronzed look as I wanted to see what a slightly more sculpted look could be created.
The final face chart was a design inspired by both of the designs above incorporating the blue popping eyes and then the heavy blushed cheekbones; I feel like this design sticks more to the original quality I wanted from the shoot. This will be the chart that I use for my final design. The skin will be achieved using layering technique with face and body. The eyeshadow with be primed with Mac 24hr eye and then with Urban Decay Vice and La roc summer tones palette finished with a powdered high light. The lips are very naturally finished as I didn't want the look to be to extreme and full on makeup wise. The model should still be reflected underneath the makeup. Chanel is all about the youthfulness.
