In class as part of a introduction about what we ourselves wanted to do and had picked as brands for the project we were given the task of creating a short presentation based on our aims and looks that we wanted to create for the six final imagery shoots.
With each slot we were told to give a little information about the brand that we had decided to pick with my obvious choice being Chanel; It was nice to share our plans with the class and see how everyone was getting on with the begging's of their projects.
"I decided to choose Chanel as my brand for the project because I loved the depth and areas that I would be allowed to go into. On one hand Chanel’s advertising can show a range of foundation products that look natural and dewy on the skin whilst in areas such as catwalk Chanel can be experimental and extreme with looks from colourful bold eyeliners to bright lips. I also find that the editorial shoots can be more experimental with there themes and locations.Chanel has been a huge fashion house for over a hundred years; the brand has covered so many different trends we start to see similarity's and connections from old shows to present release."
Which was what I wrote about Chanel and why I chose them as a brand to do for the project which of course is very important to get correct grade and learning wise being second year students.
The main image of this piece was on the page for my Catwalk looks on the slide I didn't write any text instead I spoke about how though in completely different seasons and years there are always certain similarities when it comes to Chanel catwalks from the giant fashion house; In all the shows above all the looks have busy eye makeup that is the main focus of the makeup. Ranging in different palette's and application this is a obvious note to take when it comes to planning my own shoots.
